  • Are you having trouble getting health care under your HUSKY plan?  Tell your story! Read the flyer, Your Rights in HUSKY. The flyer also has a form that you can use the to tell your story. We need your story so we can work to make improvements in the HUSKY program. Your rights in HUSKY -- did you know that
    - you have a right to change managed care plans?
    - you have a right to all medically necessary and appropriate treatment? 

  • 3/2009. Note: This version shows revised Medicaid and TFA data. Town by Town 2009 - Why CT Needs Social Services Programs. This data shows the importance of social services programs for all needy residents of the state – and for people who need help in your community!  For example, it shows the number of people in each CT town who:  
    - receive HUSKY A health insurance
  • - receive Temporary Family Assistance cash assistance
    - claimed the EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit)
    - receive certain housing subsidies, and more.

  • Need information on HUSKY Health Care Program changes?  Go to the Connecticut Voices for Children website.
  • Section 8 Waiting List (also known as Housing Choice Voucher) website is now up and running.  You can use this site to find out which Section 8 waiting lists in CT are currently open.

  • Resource for providers who assist persons who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The Department of Housing and Urban Development has created HUDHRE.info. Get information on HUD's housing and homeless programs, grant applications, Homeless Management Information System guidance, and more.
  • Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage. Visit these websites for helpful publications on Medicare Part D. CT Elderlaw.org (Legal Services);  State of CT Elderly Services; or  Center for Medicare Advocacy 
  • Having trouble registering a child in school?  Your child is allowed by law to attend school in the town where you live, even if you do not have legal custody, as long as the child lives with you.   Read more on this school registration flyer. (In English and Spanish)
  • Resource Kit for ImmigrantsKnow your rights if Immigration officials or police try to question, arrest or detain you. Materiales en español. ¿No es un ciudadano de los E.U.? ¡Conozca sus derechos si la policía o inmigración le preguntan, arrestan o detienen.
